Emergency: Texas Flood Relief!
Texas Flood Relief: Diary - Day 2

We’re heartbroken over the tragedy in Texas Hill Country.
We’ve been asked to come in indefinitely to help with the response. We will be working on relief, recovery, platform building and communications.
We are here on scene and getting help directly to people in most need. This is temporary until the response takes shape and we can recommend options.
ARDF is always really good: https://ardf.org/relief-texas-flooding-2025
We really pray and discern about whether to jump into situations. Ukraine, for example, was a hard "no" when many of our friends and colleagues were running in. The massive Turkey-Syria earthquake was a "wait." Then "go." We truly sense the Lord wants us here right now. We've put off all other plans until we're not needed and released.
100% of your gifts will go directly and immediately, within 24 hours, to Texas flood relief.

Dear Friends,
We’re heartbroken over the tragedy in Texas Hill Country. Please read the entire note below for our response and how you can take steps to provide support.
We’ve been asked to come in indefinitely to help with the response. We will be working on relief, recovery, platform building and communications.
At this point we just ask for prayer for the victims and their families. Based on our substantial experience in disaster response, we recommend waiting on sending large scale financial support. Relief is dynamic, needs evolve, sometimes quickly, and we don’t know yet where to best direct support.
If you want recommendations as we know them from Ground Zero, email jerry@lovefortheleast.org.
Volunteer teams will be sorely needed for a sustained period. You can start organizing but please wait until the housing and feeding of teams is arranged in the area. We will let you know as soon as you can be accommodated. Just ask.
If you want to stay at San Antonio area hotels and come in to help, that’s just fine.
We do know for 100% sure that help is needed now for caskets, funeral costs, cleaning kits and Walmart cards. We never had enough cleaning kits in New Orleans and this is likely to be an overlooked need.
People in trauma cannot make basic decisions. We have to help them make small decisions and move forward step by step. Giving someone a Walmart card is better than giving them a shirt. It lets them decide what kind, what color etc.
We can get 100% of support directly to the above at this time.
Once we have a clear picture we can advise you how best to help from the front lines if you like.
Alternatively, while it’s early days, ARDF is always very good and trustworthy. They helped us immensely during the Turkey/Syria earthquake response. Excellent.
Please pray for relief, comfort, and that those unaccounted for would be found quickly. They’re in total shock. Thank you for partnering with us to bring the love of Jesus to those in need in Kerrville, TX.

Will you make a gift and share this with your friends and family?
